COVID-19 UPDATE

                                              At Adderbury Physiotherapy

FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH WEBSITE

For government releases in relation to healthcare practices; please link to https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus for the latest updates.

From now on, prior to treatment, there will be:

  •  Screening of clients at the time of booking for flu-like symptoms, lung conditions or a compromised immune system and, in the case of a positive response to that screening, a referral should be made to a registered medical practitioner (in place of treatment at the practice)

  • Screening to not treat any person who has been in contact with someone diagnosed with Coronavirus (COVID-19), for 14 days; screening of any other recommendation set out by government authorities.

  • The wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including masks and gloves where needed, and other like measures.

  • No eye pillows will be used on the face.

  • Increased infection control and hygiene procedures will be implemented at all times throughout the healthcare practice, including wiping down with disinfectant wipes all common surfaces such as waiting room tables and chairs, treatment room surfaces, electronic devices used by clients (such as tablets and styluses), pens, clipboards used by clients and door handles throughout the practice, and keep all bathroom surfaces, taps and toilet facilities and areas hygienically clean;

  • A policy of the practice outlining these measures, to be displayed or available at the clinic;

  • I will be prepared to re-close the practice at any time if this is officially required.

 If you have travelled overseas, or if you have been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with Coronavirus (COVID-19) you should seek immediate registered medical attention and isolate yourself for a period of 14 days. You should also seek immediate medical assistance if you experience any flu like symptoms and isolate yourself if so advised by the medical practitioner.

            Your action is also important in helping to minimise the spread of the Coronavirus.
